Managed to get a few days off work or have some time off uni? Not sure what to do with yourself? So you book yourself a last minute holiday. But where do you go? There are so many last minute deals for holidays, sometimes you just don’t know where to start. For obvious reason you want the best value for money. Quite frankly it all depends on what you want. For me personally I don’t really care where I stay, as long as I’m somewhere different and I get to experience a different country. I like to cheap out on the hotel and use the money I’ve saved on activities and having a good time. At the end of the day I’m only going to be sleeping and showering in the place, then I’m off out. Whereas, there are others where it is all about the hotel. They love splashing out that extra bit of cash to have a few nights of luxury.
So If you are looking for that little git of luxury this post probably isn’t for you. These sites have the option for some quite nice places to stay but in all their objections are to get you the best deal possible.
1. Lucky Trips
This is by far the best app I’ve found. It’s free to download on the Apple App Store, and is as easy as piss to use. First off it will allow you to set your budget. The lowest you can opt for is £150 for one person and £300 for two. After you have selected your budget you hit the lucky sticker which will then search for a random holiday. The holiday includes flights, accommodation and an activity.
This is an example of one of the deals they have to offer. Obviously it will vary when you are looking and what they have to offer. Lucky Trips objective is to find the best trip possible within your budget. So if you’re a bit poor, but fancy a trip and don’t mind staying in a hostel. This is definitely the app for you. To book the trip the app will email you the details and the. You will have to go from there on your own. I’m sure your capable of doing the rest.
Travel supermarket is always a a good website to try out. They are currently doing a really good offer where you can get a holiday for under £200 they average between £120-£150. There isn’t as many options in the deal as lucky Trips but it’s always worth a look if you’ve been wanting to just get away.
They also have the option where you can customise your holiday, unlike lucky Trips. So if you’re wanting to book a particular holiday this would be more suited for you.
Another advantage is the fact you can book a car hire as well as getting your travel insurance. So if you don’t have much time to shop around and find the cheapest option and like getting everything in one place then this site is for you. You will generally get nicer hotels on this site, rather than luck Trips. So if you fancy a little luxury then this site is the one for you.
Okey so you’ve probably heard of this site. If not you really need to check it out. It’s absolutely amazing and you can get some amazing deals. For instance I found a deal for 2 people, flights and accommodation for 7 nights to Portugal for £180 for BOTH! Crazy right, I know. They do specialise more on beach holidays (if you haven’t already figured that out). It is also one of favourite sites for amazing deals. They have the option where you can customise your holiday a little more or if you are looking for a quick cheap holiday this is definitely your answer.
All in all there are some amazing sites out there for you. Do your research and find the best deals and don’t just go for the first one you see. Happy hunting
